Dilakshana has over 10 years of experience working in civil engineering environment. He is currently a Bridge Engineer in WSP Birmingham bridges team, responsible for design management, works package management, design, assessment and construction supervision of a variety of rail and highways related schemes.
He is a motivated and a driven engineer with strong commercial understanding. He can build good working relationships with clients, colleagues and contractors through his interpersonal and communication skills.
In addition to his role as a bridge engineer, he has extensive experience in software development in Swift, C++ and Visual Basic for Applications. His valuable software engineering skills have benefited the company in developing in-house software to automate design processes and to reduce programme. Recently, he published a mobile app on Apple App Store featuring the design of reinforced concrete sections in accordance with Eurocodes.
